You could use the swept flange feature. See the attached part
That certainly flattens, but it isn't a very accurate representation of what the flat pattern should be.
It most definently is not accurate but it does flatten. I am still waiting for swpet flange to get better.I can flatten the cone piece itslef without the curled edge no problem but using the swept flange doesnt give you what you need to cut out. I was wondering how long it would take for someone to actually look at the part and see that. I have used tools like Logopress to do things like this but im thinking with just SolidWorks there is not much of a way to flatten this one piece becuase of the compound bend or bending a bend.
I know that this is not the expected solution - like any software, SW also has limitations because my solution is slightly different, instead of one of the two disadvantage of this solution is that you need them later to "connect" the advantage of simpler operations can be used because it is what you need to draw later perform.You can use the spinning but unfortunately I do not know of programs what simulate this operation
