I am going round in circles trying to get my simple sliding door to animate. I'm using Solidworks Professional 2012 SP5.0 Tried following the help but no joy.

I have set up a path mate for the sliding door as shown in my image, it is set to a distance of 1040mm along the path (motion works suggested I constrain it)

The path works as I can slide the door along it when there is no constraint, all good there.

Now according to help to define a motion along a path I select Motor in Motion Study, assign a path mate and off I go.

Now I can select Basic Motion, (which is fine) then when I select motor I can select my object (sliding door) direction, (horizontal edge - usually the door track), component to move relative to (door track), I have also selected linear motor.  Nowhere can I select my path mate. so a little confused.

Anyway I then select the distance I want my door to move, the time to move it and when it starts moving, click the green arrow, SW churns away for a couple of seconds, and nothing.

Here is a screenshot of my selection, whatever I do I can't get it to work.

Ideally what I want to do is have my door open and stop at a certain point and when it closes not to keep going past the door stop. I experiemented with a min/max distance mate but not sure if that is the best mate rather than a path mate.
