Why extra SW BOMs in EPDM?

We use BOM tables on our assembly drawings for our official Bills of Material.  When viewing an assembly drawing in Bill of Materials view in the Windows Explorer, I sometimes see more than one SW BOM listed.

This seems to happen when an engineer inserts a BOM table (BillofMaterials1), then deletes it and inserts a new BOM table (BillofMaterials2).  The first one no longer exists, and there is no data displayed in the BOM view in Explorer, but it's listed anyway.

Is there any way to get rid of the darned thing?  If there's only one BOM table on the drawing (SW won't allow more than one) there should only be one listed in the Explorer's BOM view, right?
