I want to make a transparent part that is immersed inside another transparent part. To do this, I creatued two parts with matching (but opposite) contours. I then put them into an assembly and mated them. The problem is that when I render the assembly in Photoview 360 weird textures show up in the interface. It seems like Solidworks reflects off of the inner part in some regions, and off of the outer part in other regions. Both of the parts are se to have no surface textures. How do I fix this?
This happens in Solidworks 2011 and 2012 (haven't tried any other versions). For simplicity I made a file with a cylinder with a rounded end inserted into a box.
The rendered image and the file are attached.
Thanks,
Byron
