I am trying to model a circiuitboard and run a thermal simulation to make sure it does not overheat. I have been given x, y, and z thermal conductivities. Is it possible to make the thermal conductivities into one general value, or can I add thermal conductivities for each direction? (Sorry, I am not good at Solidworks simulation :S) (a picture of the data I am using. Also, the model is upside down. The die should be on top)
could you do that? sure?
why not use an orthotropic material? that would be the closest. the key is you have to define it in simulation, not in solidworks.
