How do I add the "DrawnDate" or any equation from the model to a revision table. I can add the "DrawnDate" equation from the drawing but not the model.
I don't think it's possible - which I think is a good thing. There will very likely be times when you make a change to only the drawing (adding notes, views, etc). If you were successful in what you want, you would not be able to change the date without manually over-riding it. If it is possible, I would try doing it by adding it thru custom properties instead of the equations box (just an old-fashioned way of doing it).
It would be nice if the date I created the model or the drawing would automatically enter in the revision table as 6/6/2013 and be read-only. I tried this with "SW-CreateDate" and get poor results due to the format Windows is saving the file: date & time.
can you change you windows date format settings? - as you noticed, SW is just following the windows setting.
I tried changing the date format. From what I can tell, Windows adds the time stamp to the Date Created regardless of format. This eventually ends up in the SW Properties. (See att.)
