Hi Folks,
We've installed Solidworks 2013 in our company for different station in production line.
When I created edrawing from original SolidWorks I can’t measure it in eDrawing, but some other station can do so.
I know that there is an option in SolidWorks that when you would like to save your files as eDrawing you can give an access to other guys to measure it.
I did it, but still don’t work.
Any suggestion?

I have proffesional eDrawing,
I can see the icon but the I cant measure anything!
Did you clicked on activate measure?
How can I Activated from edrawing?
You need to click on Activate Measure button. After that cursor will change into a scale and you can measure.
The Measure is active in the left hand side but when i Click on it it does not work
Looks like either you're not using edrawings professional or file you checking doesn't have the option on for allowing measure in edrawings.
Can you check attached file (drive shaft) if you can measure it and the other file (gear- caddy) you should not be able to use measure.
I can measure the drive shaft but cant do the second one
Well that means your machine installation is OK.
The drive shaft has the measure option on while the other one had that option off. So please create the file you were measuring again with measure option on.
the measure option is on! when i would like to create from solidworks I clicked on measure option to be on!
but still do not work!
OK make one simple block and create edrawings from it. Attach it here and I'll verify it on my machine.
Please use "advanced editor" in case you want to attach any files.

I can measure your edrawings file which mean you've the setting right. Can you measure this file which you've uploaded??

Then please reinstall your edrawings and make you're installing professional version.
How can I remove just edrawing and reinstall it again?
Go to Control Panel > Add/remove Programs (XP mode) or Programs and Features (Win 7 mode). Find edrawings in the list and click on uninstall.
Download the latest version or version you use, install it and check.
they are all in solidworks, i dont have seperated eDrawing!
Then simply download the edrawings set up and run that.

What a bout eDrawing?
Open SolidWorks and edrawings both. Click on Help > About SolidWorks (while in SolidWorks window) and Help > About Edrawings (while in Edrawings window) to get the details.
I've downloaded the version from solidworks website
But still does not work!

I see the help bottom but I saw just serial No, SP 2
You'll have Professional written next to SolidWorks. Check the attached picture which is from SolidWorks premium. You should see professional in place of premium.
I'm believing that you don't have edrawings professional installed. Can you please request your IT department to help you in instating edrawings professional.
May be you are correct, but the problem is the other guys are working with same version of SolidWorks which I installed!
Are you guys using network license of SolidWorks?? I would suggest to contact your IT department or CAD admin (who so ever takes care of installation and administration of SolidWorks) to help you install with the right tool.

Do you have edrawings viewer installed or edrawings professional. Also do you get any error while measure or you can't use measure at all. Do you see measure button in edrawings. Can you click it and then click on activate measure? If yes then you should be able to measure in edrawings.
