I have a product currently in pre-production. The two half of the components are held together by interference snaps. On a straight pull the snaps work pretty well in holding the enclosure together. When trying to pass my customer drop test the assembly will come apart, making the snaps longer is not possible because then the assembly would not go together. I don't believe that the snap design will ever pass the drop test so I would like to investigate sonic welding.
Looking for a contract designer with experinece on this technology that can evaluate my current design then provide suggestions on what needs to change in order to ensure sonic welding is possible.
