force update to a view in drawing

I have a drawing with 9 sheets. the first sheet is the full assembly and than addition sheets have parts or section views. i updated a part which is on this drawing. Sheet one of the drawing shows the part got updated and is in the assembly on sheet one. sheet 4 which has the same part with dimensions did not get updated. this is the break down.

part 63030528-01_side_c gets updated to 63030528-01_side_d

drawing 63030528-01D

sheet 1 view10 got updated (from 63030528-01_side_c to 63030528-01_side_d)

sheet 4, view 52 has 63030528-01_side_c dimensioned. it did not get updated to 63030528-01_side_d which has new dimensions.

how can I get sheet 4 to update to the new revision?

Linda,

Does your file name for the part actually change? If so, then you need to change the references for the part drawing. Normally than would be done by going to File/Open, selecting your drawing, selecting the "References" button, and then choosing the new part. I assume it works the same for a multi-sheet drawing with both assemblies and parts.

This is not a very good way to run SolidWorks.

Assuming that you didn't change the file name, but made some changes to the part that didn't update in all drawing views, I had the same thing happen a few years ago. I didn't realize it until well after the drawing had gone out and it caused some significant problems. I don't know for sure how to fix it but here are some suggestions. The first thing I would do is to click on the drawing view and do a Ctrl+Q rebuild. If that doesn't fix it, then try copying and pasting the drawing view (or the whole sheet) to see it the pasted view will update. If so, then you can delete the original view (or drawing sheet). Also, I don't suppose that the part has configurations and the drawing view in question is referencing the wrong configuration?
