Hello all,
I have a top down view of a big chunk of land I was trying to add to an assembly of a location. Whenever I try to make the image bigger or smaller it always snaps back to its original size. Is this a limitation with the image being too small, Solidworks, or am I just doing something wrong?
It says to enter a number for the width between 1 and 1640.41994751.
Interesting, thanks for the rpely. Do you know where I can get more information on these limitations Solidworks has? Like why, if they ever plan on making it larger, etc? Also if I just scaled everything down by half do you think that would be fine? It doesn't have to really be for scale, It's mostly for looks anyway.
Edit: It's all an assembly with a ton of parts, you can't scale a whole assembly at once, can you? Unless I made the whole thing a part? Then everytime I want to make a change I'll have to re-save it as a part again? I tried this and everything went wonky...I'm not sure what to do, my boss wanted me to have a presentation of the plant I've been working on, on a different plot of land with that image by the 5th...It doesn't have to be super accurate or anything I guess, so I'll just try and squish it all together I suppose >.>;
Demitri, SolidWorks has a limitation for working volume of a 1000m cube and no point in your model can be more than 500m from the origin and it looks like your image is just slightly over that as shown in your screen capture. That's a guess based on general knowledge of SolidWorks not PhotoView in particular. You might be able to get around it by centering your geometry and subsequently-the decal on the origin but in the final analysis, SW isn't land development software so you might have to finish your work in another software package like Civil3D or Max
