I posted in another area and it was suggested that I post here. This is my first time to ask a question and I'm hoping with all this knowledge available someone has an easy answer.
The file I have attached showes a part that I need to make a mold for. I thought I would create a swept conical surface to be the parting line. I have not had any success. Does anyone have a better idea.
I'm not sure how to add a pic but I'll try. Also tried to add a step file.

I would rebuild the part to eliminate the no draft surfaces (relative to the Top Plane, which I assume is plane you will pull perpendicular to) before I put in the parting line. I would build the part from the parting line, so that it was straight or gently curved, not a bit wiggly, like your part is now.

The part is customer dictated so I'm not able to change the "wiggle". Thanks for your assistance. I'm not giving up. I'll make happen.

In that case, I think I would try to Extrude Surfaces to make your parting surface. OneSurface would form the parting line in the notched out section with the more wiggly bits. The other would form the parting for all of the rest. Something like the picture.
