i want to make the standard color for all of my words/dimension text to be black. how do i do this?
The color settings are changed by going to tools/options/colors. In there you will find a scroll box including "dimensions" and "text".
i do not see where i can change the color of the dimension text. i'd like my dimension text color to offset from the dimension line color for better readability.
I'm not aware of any way to have the dimension text a different color than the extension lines.
Glenn is correct. The location of the leader lines for a dimension are just as important as the dimension itself. They point to the origin of the numeric dimension itself. Even if they could be changed, I would not do it.
You can turn off the color display mode, all the display including words/dimension text will turn to black.
All dimensions & annotations will automatically be added to the last layer created.
In order to have dimensions stand out from the model, I created a new layer in my drawings template called "Dimensions", and set it to blue .
