Hi,

I know there are several ways to get this info, I am looking to see which is the quickest.

I want to find the external surface area of say a SHS (square hollow section) only.

Do not need to know the total surface area where the inside is also included.

I could use the measure tool and click around the outside perimeter of the part or use section properties and half the answer.

What function would most people use or is there an easier / quicker way. Note i need a quick way to find external surface areas of Square and Rectangular section only not for plates or tubes.
