The subject title might seem a bit confusing, but here we go.

I'm working on a project using some parts from Zaber Technologies (http://www.zaber.com/). They offer their CADs online in the form of IGES files (attached below).

Like usual, I'll open the IGES, and do a Save As in Solidworks to save the CAD as a Solidworks assembly while the part files are generated in the same folder.

Here's the issue, these two similar CAD assemblies generate part files of the same name, but each in their own respective folders (for organization).

When I insert both into an assembly together, the first assemly will load fine (seen on the left in picture #1). But the second assembly inserted (seen on the right in picture #1) will only load parts which are not identically named in the first assembly. Pictures #2 & #3 show what the assemblies are supposed to look like. And yes, I've tested swapping the insert order, and the same issue arises.

Besides renaming (or adding a simple prefix) to all the part files of one of the assemblies, does anyone else have any ideas as to how to get the two assemblies to play well together?

Cheers,

PS

I'm using Solidworks Professional x64 2012 SP5.0
