Trying to add perforations onto a sheet metal channel, pretty straight forward part - 'u' shape channel with edge flanges both sides, know its something to do with fill pattern but not sure how to create. Working with a standard perforation spec from a supplier (9.53 hole dia, 12.7mm pitch)
Any ideas?
Kathryn,
Are the perforations located on only one of the three sides or all three sides?
If they exist on the short legs as well, be careful that they do not run into the bend radius.
If they are on all three sides I would ebgin by doing a "Unfold" to get a flat piece. (If only along one side Unfold is not required.)
Use Hole Wizard (or Cut Extrude) to creat the first instance (of either one or all three holes if required.) 12.7mm is reallly close to a 1/2".
Thendo a Linear pattern setting your 9.53 Pitch, number of instance required and picking an edge in that correct direction.
Hope this is of use.
regards,
Alan
