Every time I startup SolidWorks 2013 on my laptop I get two identical error messages appear, one on top of the other:

script-error.png

The text reads:

An error has occurred in the script on this page.

Line: 92

Char: 2

Error: The value of the property 'getVertical' is null or undefined, not a Function object

Code: 0

URL file://C:/Program%20Files/SolidWorks%20Corp/SolidWorks/data/taskpane/common/taskPaneFuncs.js

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?

Yes No

I am currently running SolidWorks Premium 2013 x64 Edition SP3.0 on Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1. I have Internet Explorer 10 installed, although I use Chrome as my primary browser.

The laptop is my personal computer and is the secondary activation of my SolidWorks seat. I have no script errors on my work PC, even though the software setup is virtually the same.

I noticed this error when I installed 2013 SP2.0 as a new installation on the laptop. I repaired the installation after seeing the error, but this had no effect. I located the taskPaneFuncs.js file and deleted it and repaired the installation again, but it still didn't resolve the problem. I copied taskPaneFuncs.js off my work PC onto the latpop and still it had no effect.

I did try messing with scripting settings in IE, and set everything to the most relaxed security I could, but this didn't affect it.

I upgraded to SP3.0 yesterday and the problem remains.

Searching Google for getVertical (part of a string from the error message) produces just one result that doesn't seem relevant.

Anyone have any ideas what to do?

Thanks,

Chris
