I need to print a previous version of a drawing that is in the vault. I can't seem to find out how.
Any help please?
Use the "Get" command to get the older version in your local cache. (If a CAD file you may also want to get older referenced files too.)
Now you can open this version and print it.
We had to change the way the vault was set up. It would only allow us to get the current version. Thanks for your help.
you can also go to the history of the drawing file, select any version (not in cold storage, if you use it) and "view" the file. this will open the version in edrawings and you can print from there. this allows you to keep the "always use latest" setting.
Save a PDF next time and you'll be all set!
I think I would prefer to get an older version via a RMB click than maintaining an additional set of files for the sole purpose of looking at a file's history.
Yes. Your environment or company requirements may be different so that might not apply. We always sent a PDF file out for quote and it was produced as were the rest of the files distributed using a macro, zipped of course using Pack and Go. The last released revision is always retained as zipped for maintainance of company documents for the time that such documentation is required to be maintained.
