I have one user who cannot access Solidworks Premium. It is installed on his machine and a license is available. He can add it into Solidworks, but every time he tried to start a study all he gets is static. However, if he opens a model with the study already set up he can run it. His network profile should be the same as everyone else. It follows him to every machine he logs onto, but if someone else logs on it works fine. I cannot find a reason for it.
As a work around I am going to try to get the IT group to creat a new login for him.
Any suggestions?
Hi Jeff,
there's a setting called license order in the client's Solidnetwork license manager.
When you have a network license that includes many Simulation products (SolidWorks Premium, SolidWorks Simulation Professional, SolidWorks Simulation premium) you use that tab to set a priority to be used to pull licenses off.
If you set SolidWorks Sim Premium as first on that user he should pull by deafult a Sim Premium license if it's available.
Cheers,
Alex
