So I am tasked with what seems the impossible. I wish to make a better weld map for our piping. At this point it is manual and I just add a circular split line balloon with a leader to each weld. Simple. Well I need to start tracking these better. I thought about creating an actual weld part to insert into ever joint in every route. This is not the best because I still need to somehow link this table to excel.

So I am open to ideas. I need to link information in my drawing to an outside excel table. I tried just text, tables, balloons, BOMs. Nothing seems to be able to link to an excel table outside of the drawing.

It really surprises me that SW still does not have some sort of smart weld table or even more so a link to excel files.
