Hello,
This might be simple but i am not aware of this. We recently bought PICK & PLACE Machine which is used to populate led's on printed ciruit boards. Software which is used to operate this machine can take the co-oridates with respect to feducial points(origin) to place LED'S on it. but we have to feed the co-ordiantes where LED GOES so how to pull those co-ordinates(x,y) from solidworks sketch with respect to selected origin in the form of table? is it possible to pull in the form of excel sheet?
Thanks in Advance
MRK.
Create a helper assembly with a dummy part and your assembly with the led's.
In the dummy part create an extrude of some thickness and size that will cover the zone your LEDs will be placed. Create a set of hole wizard holes that are constrained to the location of the LEDs.
You can use different size hole wizard holes to differentiate your LEDs or other surface mount components from one another.
The create a drawing and add a hole chart with the x-y locations of your LEDs.
You can save the hole chart to an excel file.
I do this all the time for the weld schedule drawings I create for our shop.
Cheers,
Anna
