Hi Everyone

I have a part under one name and I created a drawing for that part using ---> Make drawing from part.

I have to give the drawing a different name to that of the part. How I usually work is that I open a part and open its drawing when there are a "million" components in your assembly.

But because the name is not the same anymore Solidworks is asking me to select the drawing manually everytime I try to open a dwg. Its ok when there are few dwgs but with time they accumalate and I would have to go to my dwg register each time to know which dwg I need to open for this part.

This can be very time consuming and inefficient.

I could probably work backwards. ie: open dwg and then the part from it. But not really time saving when I want to open from an assembly!!

Any ideas on how to tell solidworks to always refer to the original or the same dwg??
