Is it possible to define points as construction geometry in a sketch?

I am creating some holes, and defining the positions using a centre point rectange as construction geometry. However, this places a point at the intersection of the two diagonals which the hole command then assumes defines a hole position.

Obviously I could first define my hole position in one sketch, then use the positioning within the hole command to attach holes to this previous sketch, but this is an untidy and inefficient way of modelling, so I am looking for a better way.
