Im a student and I use solidworks periodically but this is my first attempt at surfacing ive pretty much just watched a bunch of youtube videos to get to this point..
Im modeling a hovercraft and im having trouble with the surface that goes from the passenger compartment to the fan intake (I’ve tried to isolate it in my model so you can see what I’m referring to)
I’m not sure how best to create the surface so that it has a smoother transition. should i break it up in to a few boundry surfaces or just one?
Any help would be great!
(I know the model is kind of sloppy unorganized but I've just been figuring it out as I go..sorry)
Gregg,
I'm guessing that you are using the current educational version, which means I can't open your model, being stuck on 2010. If you don't get an answer from someone else, I may be able to help from screen dumps showing your issue. Winging it completely, I would guess that your intuition is correct, that you need to break the single surface up into multiple surfaces. It is often easier for SolidWorks if you separate the high curvature regions from the low curvature regions.
