hi
how can I use simulation in the bolted joint by using the submodeling?
see the view "joint view' from orientation .
note: this model used in sww 2013 by Mr.Stephen Endersby.
where are you stuck? in the attached model. i don't see a valid static study that runs, that is the first step. then you can create a submodeling study from it if you ahve sim pro or above. (Also solidworks 2013 and above).
have you checked the SWW website? there might be a video to go along with his presentation.
Take a look here at the limitations of sub modeling as a first step http://help.solidworks.com/2013/English/SolidWorks/cworks/c_Submodeling_studies.htm.
Once you've checked that out let us know if it affects your analysis plan. From your description it does because of where you may want to break things. I would also suggest trying a simple model with the basics of your analysis to try it out before you work on your project. I would also check out the tutorials if you haven't done so already.
Once armed with that knowledge, come back and elaborate on what you are trying to do, what the model looks like and where you are stuck and we can help out. (For example, I can't tell if you are stuck at beam meshing or sub modeling)
