In an assembly there are many times in which I want to be only see certain planes without seeing all planes. How can you easily select and hide / show some planes?
For example, I want to only see Assembly level planes while hiding all part level planes. Or I want to only see planes on one or two parts of the assembly and hide all other planes.
I have yet to find a simple way to do this other than using the aweful search in the feature tree and manually selecting in the tree and hiding, then saving the display state. I know there has to be a better way to do this. Please help.

William,
A couple of thoughts come to mind but require some initial setup.
Firstly is to make use of display states. You would need to manually hide/show the planes you want to work with and save that visibility condition as a display state. Repeat for your different visibility groupings. To use, you simple activate your different display states.
Secondly is to make use of the feature tree filter. You would need to append some descriptive text to your various planes to help group them. You could do this in the plane name or with tags. For example, you might tag the Front, Top, and Right assembly planes with the Phrase "Assembly Level". Then in the filter, start typing "Assembly Level" and all things will be filtered out that don't have that text as a tag or in their name. Then just select the remaining feature tree items and set to visible. You can do a quick up-left window select to capture all.
