Hi all,

On our sheet metal we use hank bushes and threaded inserts pretty regularly, and I'm looking for a way to save myself time.

I've created a toolbox library of the various types and sizes that are available, so that when required I can drag one into my model as a derived part.

I use the 'Locate Part' interface to mate it to the mounting location, and everything works as intended.

My issue is that I may have upwards of 30 of these on a single part, and it takes an awfully long time to insert and mate all those components.

I've found that I can mirror or pattern existing derived parts, but in many cases the locations don't suit these operations.

What I would love to do is use the 'Copy with mates' tool as if it were an assembly, however as far as I can see this is not available in a part file.

If anyone else has this problem and has come up with a way to overcome it, or if there are any suggestions, I'd be very interested to hear them.

Many Thanks

N.B: I'm on 2012 SP2.0
