Hi all,

I am new to this forum so please bear with me. I'm not sure if this question has been asked before as it's not a common problem.

In my company we run a separate BoM application for purchasing and MRP reasons. To get the BoM from Solidworks into this my separate system I have to export an indented BoM from my top level assembly to a .CSV file. As you may already know, the CSV file is 'dumb' and is pretty much just a list of entries separated by commas.

I then have to import this CSV file into my separate BoM application.

Basically what I want in my BoM is the latest revision of my parts/assemblies to appear somewhere so that, when I export it as a CSV, the latest revision number/letter is present.

Currently we use the Custom Properties to indicate an 'up-issue' or 'revision' as it is commonly known, but there is no intelligent box to say '..the latest revision for this part is A'

Is there a way I can do this? Can some kind of formula or something be created to tell me my latest revision within the custom properties?

Any help and suggestions are much appreciated.

Please let me know if more information is required before an answer.

Thanks,

Lee.
