I am creating a filtration system skid and have several manifolds of various sizes with up to 12 take-offs on each one. It becomes rather tedious and time consuming to drop 12 tees, then 12 reducers (especially eccentric reducers), then 12 elbows, then 12 flanges... etc...
Am I missing something or is it still this labour intensive?
Thanks,
Ian
Ian,
A bit late with a responds but... have you considered working with a sub-ASM with ACpoints instead of Cpoints of each fitting.
Of course this will only work if each take-off, or at least he majority of them, are identical. At least then I would imagine that you only have to combine one set of T, reducer, elbow and flange which you then just drop in 12 times.
The only thing to keep in mind is how many variations do you need depending on sizes as well as actual config changes (e.g.: different kind of elbow or direction of elbow) if it would be preferable to make seperate files or how much you could combine in 1 file with lots of configs.
