Hi All,
This one is bothering me to no end. What is the easiest method to take a square end say 10mm wide (square corners) and make it into a rounded end with 5mm radius? I'm attaching a sketch. I've tried a few arc and circle functions but no luck. Also tried to simply fillet each square corner with 5mm radius but it throws an error. Do I need to offset the outer line inward 5mm then draw a 5mm radius circle at the midpoint of the offset line (can't be that involved)? Gotta be something very simple that I'm missing. I'm trying to follow a tutorial to make an edge flange and this seems so trivial but can't figure it out. Thanks!
Dave
You are looking for the Tangent Arc command.....
http://help.solidworks.com/2013/English/SolidWorks/sldworks/t_Sketching_Tangent_Arcs.htm
Tools > Sketch Entities > Tangent Arc
Delete the line at the bottom of your relief then add a Tangent Arc in its place.
Cheers,
Anna
