hi people,
i have file on sldwrks 2010 on stl and i want passes it for 2d, but when i passes it for 2d i cant see the lines. i cant change file because i construacion file in other program. when i open on solidworks, the file is open with stl.
i just want do a dimensioning my part.
help me.

You need to first convert the stl to surface or solid body.
Try ScanTo3D or check the solution suggested by Charles here: How to import large STL files (or any mesh)
P.S. ScanTo3D is available only in SolidWorks Premium. To activate ScanTo3D, click Tools, Add-Ins, and select ScanTo3D.

i cant do what do charles, because dont appears 2 d and 3 d (3.30min on video).
in my solidworks just say import a new part. dont say 2d or 3d.
Try to proceed with next steps and see what happens.
nothing happens.. creates a sheet with nothing, no lines no nothing..
note:
stp for 2d, no stl
rrrr* automatic correction
Did you converted the file using the meshlab software to the DXF file first??
no because i dont have a meshlab, where i can find it?
