I have a model I inherited that was designed by an outside firm.
This model is of an extruded section.
This extrusion gets used in several individual models, cut to different lengths and with various different cuts etc.
In Pro/E, I would say these models use "inherited geometry" in that all these different models that use this extruded section all have as their 1st feature, the common extrusion model
file name, that comes in as a single body feature.
Anyway, when I make changes to the common extrusion model, all the different models that use it update accordingly. Now as long as I have the base extrusion model in session all the other models stay as I have them saved with the changed geometry.
But when I close the all the files and get them out of session, when I open them back up, say the next day etc. the geometry has reverted back to like it was before I made the changes.
It is like the common base extrusion file is locked down somewhere, or being overwritten somewhere in my system.
So when I do re-open these files, all their geometry is changed back to what I changed it from.
How do I find out where this is happening or prevent this from happening?
