I am a new to SW, for past month have been using Inspirtech training videos and student edition of SW. Is there a discussion group for other students using Inspirtech?
Maybe you could ask Inspirtech to start one on their site.
Hi Tony, I've tried contacting Inspirtech and get no replies. So basically now I'm looking for a group of new users, where I get support from very basic questions. Maybe this is the right place?
The owner of Inspirtech (Albert Whatmough) is a member in these fora, but he has not logged in for nearly 10 months.
See also his LinkedIn profile;
This is one of the best places to get answers. (On almost anything)
Welcome to the forum. Please feel free to ask questions here, there are a lot of people who will be glad to help. And while you're learning, the tutorials in SolidWorks are pretty good also.
Here is a discussion with a lot of information on it that's very helpful for forum users if you get time to look at it: https://forum.solidworks.com/thread/39793.
So howdy all! Brief intro: I'm new to SW, just set up student edition on my macbook with parallels and win7. My background is electrical engineering, but have been out of the work force to raise kids. Last one is off to college this fall, so I'm learning something new! I have some background in CAD for integratred circuits. Too boring to pursue, I prefer the ME side of drafting. So far I've completed the training videos for parts, and today I start assemblies. My questions are pretty basic at this point, and most of the time I end up answering them myself given enough time. Good to know this is good place to turn when I get stumped.
