i hv a solidworks 2012 student version....i cant find simulation option in the add ins.....wht to do?.....plzz reply....its urgent
Well, it sounds like you didn't include those add-ins when you installed the software. Goto Add/remove programs, find Solidworks, right-click on it and select 'Change/Modify installation'
follow the onscreen instructions to re-install Solidworks and make sure you've selected all of the modules.
Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
thanks a lot for replying.....well actually i dont hv the key for simulation.....wht to do now?
Is it student or educational? Where did you buy it or get it from?
student.....i hv downloaded from solidworks.com
Where did you buy the student version from? What adding do you see? To me it sounds like you have the edu version from your university and that your university only has a few licenses so you only get access to the basics.
i hv followed this link
is there any way i can get simulation?
Ok. That explains it that is the sdk, student design kit. It does not include simulation. That person shouldn't really be sharing that code, it is for their university as a benefit of having educational licenses. Your options are to talk to your university about getting an engineering design kit or but a student edition.
It basically gives you access to the same tools I get as a reseller. If you can wait a couple months, the 2013-2104 version will be out.
