I have two starting points with the same diamter. The autoroute results looks valid, as you see in the screenshot. However when I exit the 3D sketch the route disappears and no cables are being redered. What might cause this? I have already tried rebuilding the model.
Alex, I think I've seen something like this before. It should be adding bodies for the routes when you exit the sketch. The only deliberate reason it won't create the bodies or update after editing the route sketch is if there is a minimum bend radius violation or another sketch build error. Segments that havea minimum bend radius violation will highlight in pink and yellow stripes.
If you sketch doesn't indicate any errors Try exiting the sketch and the route subassembly and doing a CTRL-Q to prompt it to generate the route parts.
Check> System Options/Default Templates (SHOULD NOT BE EMPTY)
If the file location for Part and Assemblies is not established, the cable will not show.
This is also a correct answer - my template locations became messed up after initializing routing- wires showed after restart but disappeared after sketch edit.
