Afternoon all,
I am trying to make a complete copy of an assembly to a different directory so I can mess with it and not mess up the original. We have no PDM for our SW atthis time. In my past life I would just do a backup and it would make a copy of all files and keep the original name of the asm and all links would remain. Or I could do a "save as" and have the option to rename the asm and all links would still rename. How do I accomplish this in SW please? What about a part rename that is referenced in an assembly also please?
What is SW Explore used for? I am not sure if this is the forum for theswe questions but I saw no better option.
Thanks all and have a nice weekend.

I don't use SW explorer, but it may be able to do what you are asking also. I know you can rename files, and I think move them around, while in SW explorer, and it keeps references intact.
