Did you or they tried saving the SW files as IGES or Parasolid and then open those exported files in workbench.

Marie, back in 2007, I was able to open Solidworks files directly into ANSYS workbench. I had Solidworks on the same machine, so maybe that's a requirement.
I do this all of the time, so I must have whatever it takes. I looked back in our ANSYS emails and it looks like we bought an interface to SolidWorks when we bought our ANSYS license. At least we pay support every year on that interface along with our support for ANSYS Structural.
