Hello, we are updating / automating some of our templates and ran into a few things that seem off.  Or maybe I'm missing something.

First.

In a drawing, I can automaticly populate the date the drawing was created, and format the date from within SolidWorks (Long Date / Short Date / Time Included / Time Not Included).  Nice options, and I don't have to mess with the computers regional setting which other programs are pulling information from.

In a part file however, I don't seem to have the option to format the SW-Created Date property at all.  The only way I can see to manipulate its format is by manipulating my computers regional settings.  Is this true, or am I missing something?  If I'm not missing anything, why not have the same options available everywhere you can use the SW-Created Date custom property.

Second.

Why is there no SW-Created By property?  This information is saved in each feature of the feature manager tree.  In searching the forums I gather this was a custom property prior to 2006.  SW-Last Saved By is no good, that does what it says, over writting the property each time the file is saved.  Using a drop down in the custom property tab builder just takes more time to pick your own name for the list, why can't we just pull information from who is signed into the computer.  Seems obvious to me.  Seems like it should be there to me if the features store the information, and we can use SW-Created Date.  Just seems logical, I hope I'm missing something and someone can point me in the right direction.
