Is it possible to modify the subject line of the notifications for "Documents have changed state" to include what document?
In the Description edit box in the Transition Action dialog enter what you want the subject to be. The > symbol allows you to insert variables like Filename and Folderpath.
I see how this works. "Description" is the subject line and "Message" is the body of the email.
There are two problems with this. First, in the email notification the only link is to open the file and not to the folder the file is in. This can be important if you need to do things like look at the history or change state of different files.
Second, with normal notifications you can leave comments to both the person and the history.
I've tried adding a variable to the subject but it doesn't work. You can add it to the body text.....like I added the "state" to the "Enterprise PDM Notification" heading.
Notifications need a few more options.
Hi Stephen, try lookint at KB S-039997. I've never tried this... but It looks like you should be able to do it.
I see the PDF that Greg posted. However I noticed that it was for 2010, has there been any enhancments to the notifications since then?
I should have been more detailed in what we are looking for :
We would like the subjecct for ECO's to indicate that they are such. Otherwise the ECO notificaitons look like the other scores of "documents have changed state" emails we get. Any ideas on that?
