Hello
I have an assembly file that I need to export to 3D max. I saved it as IGS file.
The problem is that the IGS file can't opened easly in 3D max due to amount of vertices and faces (the mesh is to big).
Does anyone know how can I reduce the amont of vertices (or how can I control the mesh size) in solidworks? their is a way to save it as IGS with less faces?
Does anyone know if their is another way to save an assembly file to format 3D max can read by reducing the meshing?
Thank you

Yosi,
One method would be to 'save as' the assembly file to a solidworks part. You can then have the option for the geometry to be saved as
a) Exterior faces
b) Exterior components
c) All components.
Once saved as a solidworks file, you carry out required adjustments and then save out in the format needed (IGES).
Hope this helps.
