I'm a student using the 2012-2013 version of SolidWorks and I was wondering if there was any way to remove split lines for images (such as saving the part file as a JPEG). I've attached a JPEG of the part as it looks now with the split lines. My inital problem was that I wanted to simulate heat in a part (using color) and as I looked for answers, it seemed like split lines seemed the best way to show gradual color (heat) change. It was a little intensive in that I had to change the appearance of every face, but the results worked out nicely (this picture would be used in publications in the research lab where I work at my school). Is there a way to hide the split lines; or is there another way entirely to show the color change without split lines?
