How do I close the corners in the picture? I can't seem to find an easy or nice looking way to do it. Seems like it should be a simple thing to do.
will this work?
also i noticed you were trimming the corners after flattenning. this is not necessary. right click on flat pattern in the tree, edit feature, uncheck "simplify bends".
Good morning Michael,
You can edit the Edge Flange Sketch and delete the end line vertical/horizontal relation and drag it then add the dimensions like a 45 degee or so...
Let me know if you need additional assistance, however I have 2013 and your release is older, but I can do screen shots...
I would use the create base flange/tab feature to model the tapered bottom part first, then I would use a miter flange to create the folds on the 3 sides as this will automatically fill in the corners you want.
This is not as straightforward as it first appears! Taper in 2 directions results in the end flange not being flush.. A small anomolie also appears where the edge flanges meet the side flanges at the cut out.
Managed to achieve the attached result through trial and error. May not be technically correct but is very close and flattens OK.
Hope this helps
