Is there a way to reload the model that a drawing is using, without opening the model itself? If I'm working on a drawing, and someone else updates the model, I need to be able to update it, but I'd rather not have to open the model to do it.
I'm not sure if a CNTR+Q on a drawing does a reload of the referenced data. It would be nice if the actual Reload command was there like it is for Assemblies. That would certainly do it. If all else fails, closing and re-opening the drawing will always re-read the last saved state of the parts and assemblies.
You might also be able to just open the assembly in read-only mode and use the File > Reload command in there which would transfer to the drawing.
I feel like I'm missing an easy answer here and over thinking the answer.
In View Palette there is option for refresh model.
How about creating a macro for it. Check the "Reload Model Example (VBA)" example in the SW API help files.
