    UGII to solidworkd

John, both Jason and I have experience with UG and I have found that, as Jason has stated, I can open any of my UG parts directly in SW. There is no need to do an import function (as we would have to in UG) in SW when SW can read UGII part files.

What type of problem are you having. Like Jason & Steve, we bring in UGII files without any problems. The one thing you may run into is if someone sends you a UG file that is only the drawing or an assembly and has no models or parasolids data in it. Perhaps post the UG file your having problems with and one of us can open it in UG and see if it will open that way too.

What kind of problems? I've opened most native UG files with no problems. The ones that did give problems were really old UG files.....probably pre-v13 files.

                I will try your file.

                Then inform you.......

The UG files I have belong to my company and thus I can't post them. Search around on the web.....I'm sure you can find some samples.
