Student needs help...

Hi,

I'm a student who is trying to install the install SW 2012 SP2 on my windows 7 ultimate.

However,I get an installation error:

SolidWorks Installation Manager

Check For Updates
Microsoft C++ 2005 Redistributable
Microsoft C++ 2005 Redistributable (x64)
Visual Studio Tools
Microsoft Office 2003 Web Components
SolidWorks
Visual Studio Remote Debugger
SolidWorks eDrawings

I have no idea what to do or where to go from here.

I've tried numerous reinstalls, turned off the anti-virus, updated all files that I'm aware of,

and I continue to get this error. Any help would be appreciated it. Thanks.

Are you installing Solidworks using the administrator account?
This account is normally disabled, try enabling this account, log in as adminstrator and try installing again.

In addition to Peter's question and suggestion, I would like to know as how are you installing; From installation DVD or Using SolidWorks Installation manager (downloading and installation)

  It turns out it was an issue with the web browser I used, chrome. I used the SW Installation Manager, but during the download it gave me a message that I had to download the files manually, which I did with no problem. However, during the install it would give the error I described above. I didn't think anything of it, since the installation manager repeatedly informed me that I did not need to do a download since I had all the files. I decided to delete the files and download again with IE this time around. No problem with the install. Lesson learned, use IE from here on out.
