Problem importing Inventor model into Solidworks

Hello,

 

I am a student designing a vehicle for the F1 in Schools competiton. I was required to use Autodesk Inventor as my instructors did not recieve much training in Solidworks. However, solidworks is required for me to be able to use its airflow simulator.

 

I have tried to import my Inventor assembly into Solidworks 2012 without success. It works, but the model has gaping holes in some areas.
