I have a skateboard deck modeled up in SolidWorks 2009. I was wanting to know what would be the best way to create a male and female sided mold that I can have CNC’d later to start manufacturing skateboards on a small scale. I have tried to insert the deck into a new part file and off set planes above and below the deck and then extruded to the top and bottom surfaces. I can’t figure out how to get rid of the deck when I’m done without it deleting the molds as well. I need to get molds as individual files so that I can send them to my CNC guy.
