What is the best way to handle cable labels in an assembly?

I have a variety of cable assemblies, with each assembly having two vaying ends and a cable in the middle.  Each cable assembly needs to have two label bands (stickers) applied to the cable.  Eventually I would like for these labels/stickers to rol up into the BOM, but am trying to figure out the best way to put them into the assembly.  Differnet cable assemblies would use the same stickers, but the diameters of the cables might be different, so the bands might look strange if the cable dia is smaller, and thec able could diappear if the cable dia is too big.

What I am thinging is to either madke a big cylinder to cover the wide range of cable diameters, or use a part with no dimensions.  Any thoughts on a good way to handle this?
