Hi all,
Im trying to create a part with a curved bend but when I try the sketched bend tool it displays an error that my sketch contains un supported entities.
Ive attached a file with an example of the finished model made with surfaces quickly to show what I want. But I need a sheet metal one to know what profile to cut out to create the part.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks, yeah the part will be stamped in production but I was hoping that solidworks could give me a profile for the blanks needed to be cut from sheet metal before being stamped.
If its not possible ill have to do a calculated guess in this case.
there are several partner products that can unfold non-sheetmetal parts.
Two that spring to mind are Logopress and BlankWorks, but I suppose there are more...
Best to check with your VAR for possibilities and pricing.

In SolidWorks this part wouldn't be considered a sheet metal fromed part it would be considered a stamping. Sheet metal forming is done with straight linear bends and stamping can be any shape....
There may be other programs that can do this....
