guys i have a problem in a assembly.
i want to change the in-place reference plane in a part component but i m unable to do that.
any suggetion will be welcomed and thnx in advance....
Do you mean that you want to edit one of the default planes? I don't believe that's possible, but you should be able to create a new plane and change any references from the default plane to the new one.
I've always wondered how this could be edited as well. I've never figured out a way to do this, if its even possible. I've always simply deleted the in-place mate and re-mated using other planes, to get the part into the position I preferred. I'm curious to see if anyone knows a way to do what you are asking as well.
I also miss the option to reset an in-Place mate.
If they would make this possible, Solidworks would be perfect.
My current problem can be solved by just insert an extra plane that I offset to the position I really want my part. But this is Another unnecessary plane that just complicates things for no reason.
Here is your Answer
