I know this topic has been raised before, but lets see if anyone now has a solution.
I would like to put instructions/notes on a drawing that would not print, is this possible?
I would have thought that this functionality would have been built into SW like it is in many other programs ie CorelDraw.
Yes, you would think that but then again...
It looks that the only way you can get a drawing just like you want it of a 3d model in any program is by finding workarounds, adjusting your methods, adjusting your expectations so that you deal with the result as it is not as you wanted it to be.
To get back at the subject matter, the only other way I know of is by having the notes/instructions outside the sheet boundary. It's still viewable to anyone opening the drawing but it won't be printed.
Only way seems to be by putting it on a layer that you switch off when you are going to print.
There isn't even a way to have a layer not print without switching the layer off.
Thanks for your quick reply.
I am really looking for a more automatic way, switching a layer off is not foolproof.
Good workaround Peter, but not ideal. Can use it for what I have in mind though.
